Castle Hills Elementary School

Curriculum and Education

At Castle Hills Elementary, learning is active, engaging, and designed to help every student thrive. Through innovative teaching, Arts Integration, and a year-round calendar, students build strong academic foundations while developing creativity, confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Our teachers create meaningful learning experiences that encourage students to explore new ideas, solve problems, and make connections across subject areas, preparing them for success both in school and beyond.

Year-Round Learning

Castle Hills follows a balanced year-round calendar that provides students with regular breaks throughout the school year. This schedule supports student well-being while helping maintain academic momentum.

Built-in intersession opportunities allow students to receive additional academic support or participate in enrichment experiences, reducing summer learning loss and helping every learner continue making meaningful progress throughout the year.

Arts Integration

Arts Integration is at the heart of the Castle Hills learning experience. Rather than teaching the arts as a separate subject alone, our teachers intentionally connect visual art, music, theater, movement, and creative expression with core academic content.Students may demonstrate their understanding through performances, artistic projects, collaborative design challenges, or creative storytelling. These experiences deepen learning while helping students develop communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom.
